La Puerta de San Juan is a large gate that was the main entrance into the walled city during its Spanish colonial Era. It is located in Calle Caleta De San Juan near the Fortaleza. It was one of five ways in which you could enter the Spanish city in 1635. Its purpose was to protect the residents in San Juan at night.
