La Rogativa


This historic statue is near "La puerta de San Juan". The word "Rogativa" means supplication or prayer. One of the famous legends of la Rogativa by the British siege of San Juan is that  when the British abandonment happened there was an attack in the city. A woman prays for the salvation of her city. This legend describes the prayer procession that led by the Bishop that had the honor of Saint Catherine and Saint Ursula.
