The monument of Juan de Amezquite, also know as the Columna del Morro was made in 1925 in the 300th year anniversary of when Juan de Amezquiete beat the Polish when they tried to invade el Morro he took fifty men and sneak attacked the polish and Juan Amezquite wounded their leader in a sword fight and wounded him in the neck. The monument is located outside El Morro the first Monument going up the path.
